Cooper Norman is led by a team of Certified Public Accountants and advisors with deep industry experience across Idaho’s agriculture, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, and growth-business sectors. Founded in 1954, Cooper Norman has six offices across Idaho and Utah, with partners credentialed as CPAs, CVAs (Certified Valuation Analysts), and CFEs (Certified Fraud Examiners).

Daniel Norton, CPA — Partner

Dan Norton is a Partner and an active member of the business community in Idaho Falls. Dan serves a variety of individual and business clients in multiple industries, but his primary focus is on medical practices, estate planning, and tax preparation for estates and trusts.

Matthew Barker, CPA, CVA — Partner

Matthew Barker is a Partner at Cooper Norman with over a decade of expertise in accounting and tax strategy. He specializes in corporate and individual taxation for closely-held businesses across multiple industries and holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential.

Kolten Williams, CPA, MAcc — Partner

Kolten Williams is a Partner at Cooper Norman focused on tax, financial statements, and consulting services for the Agriculture and Medical industries. He holds a Master of Accountancy degree.

Tyson Bingham, CPA, MACC — Partner

Tyson Bingham is a Partner at Cooper Norman with 12+ years of experience. He started in tax and audit before transitioning to Client Accounting Services, with concentrated focus on agriculture clients across Idaho.

Remington Hodson — Partner / Director of Operations / CFO

Remington Hodson is Partner, Director of Operations, and Chief Financial Officer at Cooper Norman, leading firm operations across all six Cooper Norman offices in Idaho and Utah.

J David Stoddard, CPA, CVA, CFE — Partner Emeritus

David Stoddard is Partner Emeritus at Cooper Norman. He founded the Idaho Falls office and served as its lead Partner for many years. Dave’s forte has always been in finding creative solutions to challenging business circumstances. He holds CPA, CVA, and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credentials.

Our Credentials

Every CPA on the Cooper Norman team is licensed by the Idaho State Board of Accountancy or the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. CPAs at Cooper Norman have completed the Uniform CPA Exam, hold 150+ college credit hours including 30+ in accounting, and meet ongoing continuing professional education (CPE) requirements. Many of our partners also hold specialty credentials including Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) for business valuation work and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) for forensic accounting.
