  • David Cooper has over 30 years of business and tax accounting experience.
  • He has worked for the IRS and for Deloite Haskins & Sells, an international public accounting firm.
  • Mr. Cooper has been an owner in the regional public accounting firm, Cooper Norman, for over 24 years and its Managing Member for over 17 years.

Management of the accounting firm has provided substantial expertise and experience in people management, employee incentive and ownership transition arrangements.

General Business Qualifications. Mr. Cooper owns or owned and helped manage the following business:

  • a truck stop/motel partnership,
  • two farm partnerships
  • two hydro-electric partnerships
  • a general investment company.

Previously, he has also been a part owner of a bank and a telephone company. The investment in, and management of these closely-held business interests have provided substantial practical business experience to add to Mr. Cooper's accounting and consulting experience.

Mr. Cooper is currently a member of

  • Idaho State Society of CPAs
  • CPA Associates International
  • Institute of Business Appraisers
  • National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts
  • The Institute of Profit Advisors.

Mr. Cooper is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Idaho Housing and Finance Association, by appointment of the Governor.
